We’re excited to share that the Tarlton Foundation has committed to funding college scholarships for three exceptional students from the Belle Haven Community as part of the Peninsula College Fund PCF Scholars program: Cintia Huerta, Brisa Moreno-Alcocer, and Addy Palacios. These students were selected based on their outstanding academic potential and motivation to contribute to their community and/or family, in addition to financial need.
The Tarlton Foundation has pledged $36,000 for scholarships and $36,000 for career and leadership over the next four years.
The Peninsula College Fund puts the missing pieces together to help low-income, first-generation college students reach the college graduation finish line. The organization provides four-year scholarships, one-to-one adult mentors, an annual college and career conference, coaching services to assist scholars in securing a summer or academic year internship, and stipends where needed to bridge a financial need. Together, these resources make college more affordable, and help scholars successfully navigate the journey to graduation and into the workforce.
Congratulations to our PCF Scholars!
